Lima, Peru

I'm finding it difficult to put into words how I feel about Peru - the people, the culture, the food - it's such a wonderful place. I truly hope more travelers discover Peru. There are so many adventures there waiting to be had! Peru is not a place that was on my bucket list; I had never really thought much about visiting and honestly, I think most people don't. One of my very best friends asked if I'd be interested in joining her on a tour and, of course, I said yes. I will go just about anywhere. I didn't know what to expect and I went into the experience with a totally open mind. In the past, i've visited my husband's family in Colombia, so I was so excited to taste more of the South American culture.

Lima was our first stop on our tour with Gate1 Travel and... Wow. What a beautiful place. The images I took in Lima do not even come close to doing it justice. To be honest, when I travel, I forget to take pictures! I get so caught up in the experience of seeing it with my own eyes, I totally forget about my camera. So, while I hope these images inspire you in some way - please go see Peru for yourself! Go for the beaches, the food, the people ... but most of all, for you!
