Where to Stay: Holiday House Palm Springs

Palm Springs is chock full of adorable and beautifully designed boutique hotels.  It was really hard for me to nail down the perfect hotel (If you know me, you know I'm very indecisive and anxious about everything being perfect, so I tend to stress over tiny details - I'm a work in progress!)  I wanted this long weekend to Palm Springs to be special and relaxing for Alex and I, so the perfect hotel was key.  When I saw pictures of Holiday House online, I knew right away Alex would LOVE this hotel - the design is gorgeous.  Right down to the tiny details - like monogramed pencils in the rooms to a complimentary welcome rosé  - we loved Holiday House from the first step into the lobby!

Some of my personal favorites about Holiday House:

  • Funky art throughout the hotel - including original pieces by Hockney & Lichtenstein (!!), just to name a few.

  • Plenty of space at the pool - since this is a boutique hotel, they only have a 28 rooms so no overcrowding in the public spaces.

  • Dogs are allowed!

  • 21+ only - sorry parents, you have to leave the kiddos at home.

  • Ideally located in downtown Palm Springs so you can walk to tons of restaurants, the art museum & other fun things to do.

  • Bicycles you can take out for a ride for free.

  • Full bar and restaurant so you don't even have to find another place for dinner.

  • LGBTQ Friendly - they give you really cute rainbow necklaces when you check in!

  • No TVs in the rooms - so you have to talk to your spouse.

  • Electric car charging stations.

  • Most importantly - everyone we ran into including the maid service, front desk attendants, handyman (we must have tripped the breaker in our room because the lights went out but they fixed it immediately) - they were all so nice and welcoming. We truly felt like we were important guests at Holiday House.

Holiday House was, without a doubt, one of our favorite hotels we've ever stayed in. Definitely check it out next time you are in Palm Springs!
