Eats: Las Vegas - High Tea at The Mandarin Oriental

Being both American and from Kentucky, High Tea was never something I even heard of until I moved to Las Vegas. Also, I don't really like tea.  So, the first time I went to The Mandarin Oriental to have High Tea, I wasn't expecting much.

I was so wrong!  What an incredible experience! First of all, the Mandarin Oriental is gor-geous. The view alone is worth the trip. The Tea Lounge is on the 23 floor which offers stunning views of the Strip and surrounding mountains. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they also have coffee for the non-tea drinkers and the food is delicious (it's also miniature and adorable).  If tea isn't for you, there's a beautifully decorated bar on the same floor, offering panoramic views of Las Vegas and a great cocktail.

The Tea Lounge offers vegetarian and vegan menus and they'll even let you order the children's menu if you prefer it. (I did.... ). They also have a brunch drink list including bottomless mimosas! If the full tea menu is too much for you, you can order some scones or other dishes on the side. There are plenty of teas to choose from - even I found one I like. Next time, a night visit is on the agenda - I want to see those strip views sparkle at night!
